70's Party Gone Wrong..

My mom does fundraising for the poor and needy in western Jamaica..her organization thought it would be fun idea to have a 70's theme party to raise money..this is what we came up with. Um, yes, we're sober..but next year, I'll just write a check.

Carnival Massive!

Carnival? Or Mandingo on the Eastern Parkway? Essshh.The West Indian American Day Carnival is the biggest parade, street fair, or festival in New York! I think it's simply the hottest cultural event of the year..awwww, don't be scared. Here you'll find hundreds of festive floats, bass kickin', booty jumpin, rum drinkin' mo fo's. Ha! My song is jumpin, while Lisa tryin' to meet up with friends - Sabrina's always good about taking pictures. FYI: It's not just on Labor Day, there are four days of events and activities leading up to the big parade, most of them including calypso and steel bands..in New York of course, we just have time for one day... Ya mon, hug up time... Wha,,,the rum is startin' to kick in! Kevin is reppin' to fullest! After jumping (dancing) for a couple of hours, we went to a cute after party where we rested.( www.ripplebar.com) We might've been a little sore the next day from all the activity, but ya can't find a better party any other day of the year.
